The Wake Up
This is a great way to begin your day or to give yourself a little extra boost in the afternoon. The benefits of doing practice are too many to list but here are a few. Get your energy working for you, clear brain fog and lift your mood instantly. 3 minutes. Use once a day or multiple times a day. Not recommended in the evening or before bed.
Stretch. Breathe. Find your deep connection. Open the upper back & shoulders, strengthen the quads and glutes then stretch. Get the heart pumping... you will see how! Then, a breathing exercise to clear the space around you. Ending with seated twists and supported bridge (try different variations). Bring a block and strap with you.
This class is great for building a strong foundation at your core. At the same time this can be challenging for our right/left brain. We do some different (fun!) stuff in this one, not your traditional core work. Class begins with a poem and I recommend you lay down and soak it up. You will work in this class and please do what you can. Remember that whatever you do...it is enough! Helpful tip ~ about half way through we lift the legs and start crossing them. Place your hands under your low back it will help. HAVE FUN strengthening your beautiful body!
In this class I ask you to think about your "operational threshold". We all have our own threshold for everything in life. There are only so many things we can take before we reach our limit. Practice this class and see what your operational threshold is as you move and see how this speaks to you today.
